Artemis Health

Artemis Health is a primary health care practice designed specifically for women, ages 14 and older, and staffed by three female physicians.

Our Philosophy

At Artemis Health, we strive to provide high quality, comprehensive primary care to women. We offer:

  • Thorough, evidence-based preventive education and services
  • Careful, compassionate evaluation of physical and emotional concerns
  • Individualized management of medical conditions and treatment options including the integration of complementary therapies
  • Recognition of the connection between physical, emotional, social and spiritual health

In order to optimize our effectiveness we engage in active partnerships with our patients. We foster these partnerships through respecting, listening and accepting, comforting, educating and empowering the women for whom we are privileged to care for.

Our Practice

Benefits of Artemis Health include:

  • Convenient consultation and treatment for everyday health care needs
  • Preventive care and risk assessment
  • Collection of blood and other samples is available at an on-site lab within our medical office building

  • Secure online communication with physicians through RelayHealthSM

Office Hours - Monday - Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (closed Noon to 1:00 PM)

Phone Line Hours - Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

For urgent care needs, we can often schedule a same-day visit.

After-hours Coverage - In the event of an emergency, you may call our office and an operator will contact the on-call doctor. Drs. Ahlman, Newman and Woluchem provide 24-hour emergency coverage.

Hospital Affiliation - We have admitting privileges at Highland Hospital. Also, we have arranged for a group of specialized hospital-based physicians to care for our patients while they are in the hospital.

You're Covered -Artemis Health welcomes patients with coverage through most major insurance plans.

Our Name - In Greek mythology, Artemis is the protector of women and was highly independent, embodying the values of strength, courage and self-control. Today, Artemis Health is dedicated to safeguarding and enhancing the health and well-being of our patients by providing comprehensive healthcare services for women in a nurturing environment, characterized by mutual respect and understanding.
